I was watching David Cronenberg's The Naked Lunch yesterday. William Burroughs and the like... At a certain point, a character, which would be Allen Ginsberg, says to two other guys, who would be Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs: "Why don't you try writing pornographic novels? I have the contacts, I can make the connections...". Gee! I NEED such contacts and connections, in Brazil or somwhere else. I'm a writer, I'm a comic book drawer, I CAN write or draw porn stuff, provided that would apport me some cash!
Why were things so much easier in Burrough's time than they are today? Why, oh why do I experience such a hard time in getting my work published, and get paid for it, in my home country?
People like porn, right? So give me a break through... I can mix porn with horror, with science fiction, with drama, with underground literature, with art, whatever. Hell, I LIKE having sex with women!
