Well, there´s a painting, made by my wife, right in the wall in front of the TV set, on which I gaze upon every time. It depicts a scene taken from the comics of ANIMAL MAN, by the time Grant Morrison wrote his stories, showing the hero entering the limbo of comics. There´s a Dodo in the opening page, since all the characters were forgotten in the limbo, as extinct as the Dodo, the Auk and so many other species.

It grieves me to see that mix of a turkey and a chicken, a flightless bird who, certainly, never did anyone no harm, knowing that it is no more due to the poison man carries with himself wherever he goes (and that goes to other planets too, if we ever get there...I hope not, for their sake!).

Masters of the universe, like that old Hawkwind song, right? Sorry if I don´t think so, after all I belong to the species too, but man...I tell you this...More than some times, I´m really ashamed of such.
